James Robert Barksdale “JR” was many things a son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandson, cousin, and nephew but above all, he was someone deeply loved by his family and everyone who knew him.
He was known for his charm, outgoing personality, and unforgettable smile. A natural storyteller and jokester, JR had a way of making people laugh no matter the situation. His presence filled every room, and his energy left a lasting impression.
JR built strong relationships throughout his life he had many friends, and his closest friendships became like family. The impact he had on others runs deep, and for many, his absence has left a space that can never truly be filled. He was an energy that people felt, and it’s an energy that is deeply missed.
Being a father was his greatest joy, and everyone who knew him could see it. His love for his son was something he carried proudly and wholeheartedly, and it was a defining part of who he was.
